1. They have an earthly headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT (The church of the Bible has no earthly headquarters; only in heaven - Hebrews 12:22-23)
2. They claim
the Book Of Mormon is needed along with the Bible and that it
is a part of God's Word (The Bible claims it is complete - II Timothy 3:16-17)
3. They claim
an angel revealed information to Joseph Smith in the 1800's (Galatians
1:6-10 warns us not to follow even an angel who teaches anything
different)
4. The Book
of Mormon has many contradictions within itself (If it was from
God there would be none)
5. The Book
of Mormon contradicts the Bible in many places (Yet they claim
to follow the Bible, too)
6. They believe
God the Father and God the Son have bodies of flesh and bone
(The Bible denies this - I Corinthians 15:50)
7. They believe
the heads of their church on earth continue to reveal God's will
(No man on earth has this power. Prophecy has ceased - I Corinthians
13:8)
8. They practice
salvation by proxy through baptizing live people in behalf of
those who have died
(The Bible says he who believes and is baptized will be saved
- Mark 16:16)
9. They teach
that marriages performed in their temples are eternal (Jesus
said that marriage is only for earth - Luke 20:34-35)
10. Mormons
believe that God was once a man (Man was created, God was not
- Genesis 2:7)
